Exodus 12/Romans 3

Exodus 12:7-13

Genesis 3:21 (We invited death, YHWH clothes sinners)

Genesis 4:10 (cries from the ground)

Genesis 9:3-6 (“you shall not eat flesh with its life, that is blood”)

That everyone “may know that I am YHWH (Exodus 3:13-15; 6:2-8,7:5, 17)

Egyptians can participate, some Exit w/ Israel (Exodus 12:38)

Passover observed annually to remember, later will be observed annually to actually cover the sin of the whole nation (Yom Kippur, Leviticus 16)

Hebrews 10:4 – “For it is impossible for the blood of bulls and goats to TAKE AWAY sins.”

Hebrews 9:9-14

Jesus’ blood is able to cleanse every sin.

Romans 3:9-26

Jesus’ blood is able to cleanse every sin and He invites us to be cleansed.

Do we agree with God that our sin leads to death?

Will we heed God’s warning that death is on its way?
What are we disagreeing with God about?
Where is our trust in Jesus wavering?
How is our life telling His story?
